About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to deliver IT projects for our complex international organization, focusing on mergers and acquisitions (M&A). This role leads technology workstreams supporting the integration, separation, and onboarding of acquired businesses into our global IT platforms. You will manage day-to-day project activities, coordinate across technology and operational teams, and adapt to changing business demands. Success requires clear objective setting, effective communication through metrics and presentations, and the ability to motivate project teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver IT projects by coordinating work packages, phases, key milestones, and deliveries.
- Develop concrete plans based on a clear scope.
- Monitor projects to ensure they remain on track, meet deadlines, and achieve outcomes according to quality and benefit targets.
- Deliver projects supporting IT business strategic initiatives to drive efficiencies and recommend correct approaches for managing benefits/outcomes.
- Conduct analysis and generate accurate figures to make appropriate recommendations for low/medium complexity projects.
- Understand and consider the impact and risk of change on people, process, and benefits during planning and delivery.
- Assist the Senior IT Programme Manager with stakeholder management and preparing presentations and project data for Steering Group Meetings.
- Support the production and maintenance of business case submissions on behalf of IT.
- Analyze and provide regular, objective status reports reflecting the true state of progress.
- Collaborate with teams to identify, maintain accurate logs, and track principles of professional project management (Risk, Issue, Dependency, Decision, Change Management, Resource, and Capacity Management).
- Adapt to different areas of the business to manage and deliver projects.
- Identify growing risks, emerging issues, and opportunities requiring intervention, providing effective solutions.
- Coordinate activities to promote workflow and manage escalations.
- Manage the complete project lifecycle, facilitating team transitions through initiation, planning, closure, and handover.
- Improve project management best practices and support new ideas for business development.
- Travel to other LNE offices when needed to support teams, maintain relationships, and coordinate launch activities.
- Provide support to colleagues and managers.
- Establish project-level budgets and track to completion.
Requirements
- Fluent in English with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, delivering clear and concise information tailored for different stakeholders.
- Ability to build rapport quickly to establish trust, respect, and confidence with colleagues, internal stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Excellent facilitation skills for meetings and workshops, encouraging participation and collaboration.
- Facilitate planning with teams to generate and develop plans and roadmaps.
- Ensure Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and guidelines are understood and adhered to.
- Experience and knowledge in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Qualified in a recognized Project Management methodology (Prince II, PMI, etc.) or proven experience.
- Extremely competent in using Microsoft Office, specifically advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in Project Management tooling such as MS Project or similar.
- Ability to present with confidence and facilitate workshops or structured training sessions.
- Ability to negotiate and understand the value of listening and empathy.
- Pragmatic approach focused on delivery of value and practical lean processes.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and manage expectations.
- Enthusiastic self-starter and creative problem-solver with the ability to quickly understand technology complexities within a business context.
- Passionate about continuous improvement and the benefits of formal improvement techniques.
- Experience in delivering projects, ideally in a mixed methodology environment.
- Comfortable with complexity and possesses the aptitude and contextual perspective to understand how multiple parts work together.
- Ability to adapt to different areas of the business to meet changing demands.
