About the Role
The Resident Service Coordinator (RSC) develops and coordinates support services for residents, ensuring resident and community success through collaboration with property management, building relationships with local partners, planning resident programs, and assisting residents in achieving their goals and maintaining housing stability.
Responsibilities
- Assess and coordinate resident referrals and resources, recommending solutions and referring to community services, resources, and entitlement programs.
- Build relationships with residents to understand their aspirations and goals, connecting them with local resources and opportunities.
- Create partnerships with local organizations to implement community engagement initiatives and required contracts.
- Assist residents at multifamily and senior properties with maintaining independent living through collaboration with wellness nurses/health care agencies on health concerns.
- Lead coordination of resident support and resources for housing stabilization issues like late rent payments, housekeeping, and lease violations.
- Collaborate with the property management team to develop program budgets that meet resident needs and comply with financial obligations.
- Conduct consistent outreach and communication with residents, including new resident assessments, newsletters, flyers, monthly calendars, phone calls, and door knocking.
- Utilize Beacon’s data collection and analysis systems to document services and outcomes.
- Track and monitor the property’s Community Engagement budget.
- Process Reasonable Accommodation requests for residents with disabilities.
- Collaborate with the property management team and attend weekly meetings.
Requirements
- Experience working with older adults, and issues relating to isolation, health and wellness and other social determinants of health.
- Experience working with youth and families and issues relating to workforce development, youth enrichment, education and asset building.
- Ability to understand and respect diverse cultural values, attitudes, and beliefs and respond appropriately.
- Capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to collect, track and understand data to assess programs and partnerships and inform strategies.
- Proficiency with technology and an interest in learning new technology-based tools and resources.
- Operate in a timely manner with consistency, integrity, and professionalism, providing excellent customer service.
- Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving and writing skills.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and other computer programs.
- Ability to work some weekends and evenings.
- Bilingual in English and dominant language of minority in community is a plus.
