About the Role
You will lead our Compute, Data, and DevEx teams, setting the reliability bar, owning vendor spend, and building the self-service platform for product engineers. You will define the platform's future and grow the team that builds it. You report to the VP of Engineering and are expected to be in-office 3-4 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical roadmap for infrastructure and the data platform, defining scaling strategies to support increased traffic while maintaining 99.95% uptime and controlling cloud spend.
- Shape agentic production operations by building an AI enablement layer for engineers to delegate routine tasks.
- Define the reliability engineering practice, establishing SLI/SLO frameworks, and managing incident response and post-mortems.
- Improve developer experience through CI platform standardization and self-service infrastructure as code tooling.
- Drive incident command during critical outages and implement systemic fixes.
- Own vendor strategy and infrastructure budget, including contract negotiation and vendor migrations.
- Develop engineers and track their career progression.
Requirements
- 8+ years of infrastructure or platform engineering experience.
- At least 4 years managing or leading engineering teams at a high-growth technology company.
- Demonstrated ability to fundamentally change team operations through AI.
- Ability to make decisions and iterate quickly with incomplete information.
- Experience managing managers or tech leads and scaling teams through growth.
- Deep hands-on expertise across AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD, and modern observability tooling.
- Strong business acumen, treating cloud spend, developer velocity, and reliability as business enablers.
