About the Role
The Prosper Health Coverage Regional Services Coordinator will increase health insurance enrollment by building relationships with public health offices, medical providers, community-based organizations, small businesses, and Federally-Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in a six-county service area. Paid training is provided for required certifications.
Responsibilities
- Organize enrollment events and coordinate on-site enrollment services at various community locations.
- Organize meetings and events to share expertise with community-based organizations and medical provider offices.
- Educate community partner organization representatives on the Marketplace application, health coverage terminology, and plan options.
- Assist with determining client eligibility for Medicaid, CHIP, and Marketplace plans and financial assistance.
- Help clients enroll in health insurance and utilize their coverage to receive care using a trauma-informed approach.
- Establish and maintain expertise in the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid, CHIP, and the Central Texas health delivery system.
- Provide client assistance and support in-person and by phone.
- Follow privacy procedures to protect clients’ personal identifiable information.
- Enter client information accurately in the program database.
Requirements
- Must complete paid training to establish and maintain relevant certifications (including Community Health Worker certification, Certified Application Counselor certification through CMS, and Community Partner Program certification through TXHHS).
- Experience coordinating community programs or services.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to provide superior customer service to clients with diverse identities and needs.
- Ability to self-direct and be effective with independent, remote work in the community.
- Ability to be flexible, learn quickly, and problem-solve.
- Proficiency using standard office computer programs and databases and digital technology.

- Access to reliable transportation for traveling across the 6-county service area.
