About the Role
The Surgical PA Service at Northern Dutchess Hospital is seeking a board-certified Physician Assistant to join their supportive, team-based group. This role offers exposure to multiple surgical subspecialties and a high volume of DaVinci Robotic Surgery cases.
Responsibilities
- Provide OR first assist coverage for specialties including general, plastic, spine, bariatric, and OB/GYN cases.
- Round on general surgery patients daily as part of a team-based approach.
- Cover admissions and consults for general surgeons.
- Provide on-call night coverage from home, including first assisting emergent OR cases, admissions, and consults for general surgery.
- Perform floor procedures such as NG tube insertion and removal, wound vac and dressing changes, and bedside I&D.
- Engage in cross-coverage between NDH PA services and Vassar Brothers Medical Center PA services in a limited capacity.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- NCCPA certified.
- Possess strong surgical and patient management experience.
- At least one to three years of surgical experience preferred.
- Surgical residency trained candidates preferred.
- New graduates will be considered.
- New nurse practitioners with RNF certification and surgical experience will be considered.

Salary/Compensations
- $120,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year commensurate with experience
