About the Role

The Geospatial Analyst provides spatial data, analysis, and mapping services to support informed decision-making across The Crown Estate's diverse portfolio. This role delivers accurate geographic information, spatial insight, and visualization to support strategic, operational, transactional, and legal activities. The analyst will collaborate with colleagues, Managing Agents, and external stakeholders to ensure effective spatial data management, promote geospatial best practices, and contribute to the improvement of GIS tools, processes, and services. The role will also contribute to the development and adoption of new geospatial products and services to support future business objectives.

Responsibilities

Deliver geospatial analysis, mapping, and spatial insight to support business priorities and decision-making.
Undertake proximity checks to identify spatial implications of proposed developments on existing assets and obligations.
Maintain accurate geospatial datasets throughout their lifecycle, ensuring data quality, currency, and governance standards.
Produce maps, plans, visualizations, and other spatial outputs meeting business and legal requirements.
Manage and track business requests, ensuring tasks are recorded and delivered to agreed quality standards and timescales.
Build effective relationships with colleagues, Managing Agents, and external stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve GIS Casework service delivery.
Support the transition to a self-service delivery model using appropriate GI tools and datasets.
Support the development, testing, and enhancement of GIS systems and applications.

Requirements

Experience using GIS to manage, analyze, and present spatial data.
Experience producing various types of mapping products, spatial analysis, and data visualizations.
Experience using ArcGIS Pro.
Understanding of spatial data management principles and real-world application, including metadata, projections, and coordinate systems.
Ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
Experience building collaborative stakeholder relationships.
