About the Role

As a regular part-time parcel delivery agent, you will be the face of Canada Post in your community, ensuring customers and businesses receive their parcels. This position offers a guaranteed minimum of 15 hours per week and requires weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Sort, scan, sequence, load, and deliver parcels.
• Operate corporate delivery vehicles safely in all weather and traffic conditions.
• Collect signatures and payments for C.O.D. (Cash on Delivery) and other accountable items.
• Complete delivery records using a Portable Data Terminal (PDT).
• Load and unload parcels, containers, and postal equipment.
• Perform scheduled and ad hoc parcel pickups and clearances.
• Perform internal facility duties such as shuttling corporate vehicles between parking location and loading platforms as well as loading/offloading incoming vehicles.
• Operate dock levellers, conveyor belts and other manual/mechanical equipment.

Requirements

• A permanent provincial valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a safe driving record for at least 3 years (driver's abstract required).
• The physical ability to lift items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day.
• The ability to work in all types of weather.
• Availability to work weekends is required.
• The ability to read, write and speak English and/or French.
