About the Role

Postes Canada is a challenging work environment where you can play an important role in delivering billions of shipments to Canadians annually. As a regular part-time parcel delivery agent, you will be the face of Canada Post in your community, ensuring customers and businesses receive their expected parcels. This position offers a guaranteed minimum of 15 hours per week and requires weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Sort, scan, sequence, load, and deliver parcels.
• Safely operate company delivery vehicles in all weather and traffic conditions.
• Collect signatures and payments for collect on delivery (C.O.D.) and other accountable items.
• Complete delivery logs using a handheld data terminal (HDT).
• Load and unload parcels, containers, and postal equipment.
• Perform various indoor tasks, including moving company vehicles between parking areas and loading docks, and loading/unloading vehicles.
• Operate dock levellers, conveyors, and other manual or mechanical equipment.
• Perform scheduled or unscheduled parcel pickups.

Requirements

• A permanent, valid provincial driver's license (NON-PROBATIONARY) Class 5 or Class G, with a safe driving record for at least 3 years (driver's abstract required).
• Physical ability to lift items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and regularly carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) throughout the day.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Availability to work weekends.
• Ability to read, write, and speak French and/or English.
