About the Role
Up With Women / Exponenti’elles (UWW/EXP) is a national charity dedicated to helping women and gender diverse individuals experiencing low income build a sustainable pathway out of poverty and realize their full potential. This role involves managing relationships with clients, community partners, and various other stakeholders, alongside undertaking administrative and operational functions.
Responsibilities
- Establish and manage relationships with clients, community partners, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
- Execute key program activities, including client outreach and recruitment, intake, onboarding, regular follow-ups, and support.
- Participate in program events, job fairs, and other activities.
- Plan, organize, and co-facilitate regular group sessions with clients.
- Support the planning, organization, and recruitment of facilitators for client workshops.
- Monitor the implementation of program processes and policies to deliver high-quality services and ensure continuous quality improvement.
- Create and update client files and program documents and presentations, filing them in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Facilitate positive relationships within the program team, with other departments, and with stakeholders.
- Continuously assess the program's effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
- Implement necessary changes based on evaluation findings.
- Undertake related administrative and operational functions.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Experience working with a diverse clientele, including individuals who have experienced poverty, housing or employment instability, trauma, domestic violence, mental health and addiction issues, or disabilities.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage change effectively in a dynamic and growing organization.
- Understanding and commitment to concepts and issues related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-oppression, especially as they apply to women and individuals of diverse gender identities living in poverty.
- Excellent skills in navigating and developing relationships within the community services sector to provide resources to clients based on their needs.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently as well as part of a team while maintaining good communication with colleagues.
- Respect for privacy and the ability to exercise tact and discretion.
