About the Role
The Mid-Market Business Strategy & Execution Team is seeking self-motivated, organized, and service-oriented Associate Relationship Managers to contribute to EDC’s 2030 Corporate Plan. These roles involve researching and connecting with Mid-Market segment companies, utilizing an integrated strategy for lead generation, and playing a critical role in establishing best practices for lead generation and team success.
Responsibilities
- Researching, qualifying, engaging, and following up on leads from multiple sources
- Collaborating with Sales Operations, Marketing, and Mid-Market Business Development Teams to develop lead management strategies
- Generating leads through engagement, nurturing, and development, and conducting research on company operations, business objectives, market entry strategies, and international trade opportunities
- Supporting the Mid-Market Business Strategy & Execution Team’s national strategy
- Logging all relevant prospect information into the CRM
- Providing consistent, concise, accurate internal and external communications
- Working collaboratively in a team environment and independently
- Achieving qualified lead generation targets
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent business development experience
- Knowledge of best practices in sales and/or client account management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work legally in Canada
- Must meet requisite government security screening requirements
Skills
- Business development experience in banking, international business, or other financial services
- Knowledge of international business practices and international trade
- CITP (Certified International Trade Professional) designation
- French language
