About the Role
The Director of Area Sales (ADOS) is responsible for overseeing sales performance and fostering a strong sales culture within their assigned portfolio. This leadership role is vital to driving total revenue performance for Aimbridge Hospitality. The ADOS is expected to work as needed to fulfill all job responsibilities and to ensure the success of the sales team and properties under their direction.
Responsibilities
- Engage professionally and attentively with guests and employees.
- Maintain regular attendance and appearance standards.
- Participate in meetings to promote a positive workplace culture.
- Maintain compliance with all Aimbridge Hospitality policies and safety regulations.
- Consistently wear the required attire and name tag during work hours.
- Conduct weekly sales activities such as telemarketing, cold calls, appointments, and site tours at assigned properties.
- Collaborate with leadership to maximize revenue through strategic follow-up and coordinated efforts.
- Supervise up to ten team members through work scheduling and planning.
- Deliver training during staff meetings.
- Provide coaching to property sales staff to enhance overall team performance.
- Submit weekly sales reports.
- Update regional leadership.
- Record property visits.
- Execute directives.
- Support sales and marketing efforts to boost performance.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of progressive hotel sales experience, or a 4-year degree with 2 years related experience, or a 2-year degree with 4 years hotel sales experience.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Valid driver’s license in applicable state.
- Strong verbal and written communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to evaluate options, solve problems, and remain composed in high-pressure situations.
- Proficient in financial data analysis and basic arithmetic functions.
