About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Influence Account Director to join one of our Top 10 accounts, where everyone plays to their strengths delivering award-winning campaigns. As a Social & Influence Director, you are the driving force behind our campaigns playing a central role in delivering our social & influence marketing proposition across one of our biggest clients. You will manage your workload autonomously, taking full responsibility for the quality and end-to-end execution of multiple social and influencer programs. In this role, you will act as a role model for Ogilvy's values, building trusted client relationships and communicating effectively across internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day running of multiple social and influencer campaigns from start to finish, including identifying and vetting talent, negotiating contracts and fees, implementing campaigns across relevant channels, overseeing delivery, and ensuring quality.
  • Report on performance against agreed KPIs.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for your projects, resolving day-to-day problems independently by consulting with stakeholders as needed and escalating to senior leadership only when appropriate.
  • Actively contribute to social & influencer strategy by recommending objectives, targets, and creative concepts.
  • Confidently present creative solutions and campaign reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and nurture client-appropriate talent opportunities and relationships to help deliver social & influencer programs for clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for your clients, managing expectations, providing timely updates, advice, and solutions.
  • Build long-term client relationships by delivering work that meets agreed objectives and deadlines, and taking responsibility for the quality of all client outputs in your remit.
  • Communicate effectively across internal teams (media, PR, data & insights), proactively sharing updates and coordinating timelines to ensure smooth handovers and integrated campaign success.
  • Share updates proactively, coordinate timelines, and resolve potential blockers before they impact delivery.
  • Effectively prioritize tasks across all projects, proactively communicating your status to senior leadership, reassuring them that work is on track and meeting deadlines.
  • Manage campaign budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and on schedule.
  • Proactively communicate about your workload and capacity to your line Director.
  • Support the growth of junior team members by providing constructive feedback, sharing knowledge, and acting as an informal mentor to aid their growth and development.

Requirements

  • A passion for social and influencer marketing with a minimum of two years' experience, preferably in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Proven experience in autonomously managing multiple social and influencer campaigns from start to finish, including budget and timeline management.
  • A track record of building strong client relationships and proactively managing their expectations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions and escalate appropriately.
  • Experience in guiding or mentoring junior team members is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to facilitate meetings and collaborate effectively across teams.
