About the Role
Serve as an Austin Community College (ACC) campus representative, act as a liaison within the local community when requested by the Regional Director, and lead/supervise the functions and operations of an assigned campus.
Responsibilities
- Lead special campus projects and planning groups, monitoring projects until completion.
- Provide direct supervision for assigned Campus Operations staff.
- Supervise, train, coach, direct, coordinate, and discipline personnel, adhering to organizational human resource policies and procedures and employment laws.
- Recommend hire/termination actions and perform other personnel actions for supervised positions.
- Communicate college policies, procedures, and processes to faculty, staff, students, and others.
- Resolve or refer campus-related concerns and complaints to appropriate offices.
- Collaborate with Regional Director and Campus Operations to establish the ACC campus as an involved community partner.
- Coordinate campuswide room scheduling for academic, workforce, Continuing Education, Adult Education classes, and community use.
- Approve, process, and coordinate requests for college facility use for campus events.
- Organize and schedule on-campus services provided by Facilities and Operations and internal/external customers.
- Coordinate inspections and drills, potentially organizing and training the campus emergency response team.
- Coordinate with campus police regarding campus security as assigned.
- Develop and monitor campus budget, approve expenditures, and prepare reports.
- Serve as person in charge of campus emergencies.
- Ensure college standards and ethical expectations are communicated and upheld.
- Partner with other departments to ensure student success.
- Assist in developing operational policies and procedures for all campuses and implement all such policies.
- Conduct quality surveys and inspections.
- Travel to other campuses as needed.
- Supervise safe operation of unit, facilitate safety inspections, and take actions to eliminate identified hazards.
- Ensure employees receive appropriate safety training and foster a workplace safety culture.
Requirements
- Maintain a domicile in the State of Texas while working for the college and throughout the duration of employment.
- Three years related work experience including one year supervisory experience.
- Completion of the ACC Supervisor Certificate Series Program will satisfy the supervisory experience required.
- May occasionally be assigned to another campus in the ACC District.
- Employees are required to report violations under Title IX and, under the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act (Clery Act), select individuals are required to report crimes.
- If this position is identified as a Campus Security Authority (Clery Act), you will be notified, trained, and provided resources for reporting.

- Intermediate/advanced proficiency using standard office software applications.
- Ad Astra scheduling software proficiency.
- Five years or more of experience in business operations, facilities management or higher education (preferred).
- Experience working with community organizations (preferred).
- Experience in facilities management and/or supervising business operations (preferred).
- Strong understanding of campus or office management systems (preferred).
- Experience with building operations functions (preferred).
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems (preferred).
- Demonstrated leadership skills (preferred).
- Demonstrated project management skills (preferred).
- Understanding of business/project management specifications (preferred).
