About the Role

This is a net new role for a Co-op Student or Intern to join the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Capital Markets team from January to April 2027. The successful candidate will prepare pitch-books, perform market research, assist with drafting marketing documentation, and participate in due diligence processes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare pitch-books and presentation documents in connection with business development initiatives
  • Perform market, industry and company research supporting live engagements
  • Prepare lists of potential buyers and acquisition targets
  • Assist with drafting of marketing documentation (i.e. Confidential Information Memorandums)
  • Assist with various financial analysis as required including financial modelling and comparable company analyses
  • Participate in due diligence processes

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a post-secondary business program with an emphasis in accounting or finance
  • Strong interest in Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform analytical work accurately, often under time pressure
  • Developed communication skills and a strong ability to collaborate with team members
  • Strong aptitude for Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to prioritize competing priorities with varying deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced deals environment
