About the Role
Michael Kors is seeking a Merchandise Coordinator to assist the buying team in managing a growing domestic and international business. This role requires strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities
- Generate weekly selling reports and business analysis to track selling, identify key trends, maximize opportunities and minimize liabilities.
- Maintain assortment sheets, pricing/conversion files, process markdowns, reconcile on order, and manage samples.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to communicate monthly floorset details, markdowns, promotions, and RTVs.
- Work closely with planning and allocations to execute merchandising strategy on a by-door basis.
- Ensure assortments by door are maximized by working with the allocations team and store management.
- Foster and leverage cross-functional relationships to create business opportunities, specifically partnering with Digital, Marketing, Visual Merchandising, and Global Merchandising.
- Communicate and partner with vendors on order placement and product maintenance.
- Execute product knowledge and buy information to the stores.
- Run analysis and prepare selling hindsight to identify assortment opportunities.
- Attend and actively participate in market, and enter all market orders.
- Support Senior Buyer & Associate Buyer in actioning successful new Men’s Store openings.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
- Computer Literate – Strong Excel Skills
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in NYC office 3 days a week
