About the Role

As a Function Developer Control Systems (m/w/d), you will be responsible for the development, integration, and validation of software functions for complex technical systems using modern C++. You will translate requirements into robust control solutions and contribute to the quality and continuous improvement of development and engineering processes.

Responsibilities

  • Development and maintenance of complex control algorithms and software functions with modern C++, including modeling and simulation
  • Concept and implementation of control algorithms and software architectures for embedded systems
  • Integration and testing of software components on target hardware, ensuring performance, reliability, and quality
  • Planning and execution of unit, integration, system, Model-in-the-Loop, and Hardware-in-the-Loop tests
  • Participation in CI/CD pipelines, internal algorithm libraries, development tools, and agile development processes
  • Close collaboration with engineering teams, development partners, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth system integration
  • Maintenance of technical documentation and continuous improvement of methods, tools, and development processes

Requirements

  • Completed Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, or a comparable field
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in developing control functions for embedded systems
  • In-depth knowledge of control engineering, embedded systems, and software development
  • Very good knowledge of modern C++
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and methods, particularly Jenkins and Git
  • Experience with system modeling, MiL/HiL simulations, and tests at unit, integration, and system levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Very good English language skills
  • German language skills are an advantage
