About the Role

We are partnering with a leading tax practice in London to recruit an experienced and qualified Personal Tax Senior to lead a high-performing team within their specialist tax practice. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of expatriate clients with US and UK tax obligations, handle compliance work, and contribute to tax planning projects.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review personal tax returns.
  • Advise on cross-border tax issues.
  • Analyze double tax treaty positions.
  • Support clients with residency and foreign reporting requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with clients.
  • Resolve technical tax queries.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a seamless service.
  • Engage in tax planning projects.
  • Conduct technical research.
  • Enhance internal processes and best practices.

Requirements

  • ATT/CTA qualification, or equivalent chartered certified accountant status.
  • Strong experience in US and UK individual tax compliance, including preparation and review of returns and related filings.
  • Progressive experience in personal tax, ideally within a professional services firm or tax advisory practice.
  • Expertise in tax return preparation, compliance, and advisory services for private clients.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and client engagement skills with the ability to simplify complex tax concepts.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CaseWare, TaxCalc, Thomson Reuters) and Microsoft Office Suite.
