About the Role
We are seeking a Claims Operations Manager on a Fixed Term Contract basis (Maternity Cover) to join our market-leading Claims team. This individual will manage claims operations, third-party service providers, and performance oversight of the Claims Department. This position is ideal for an experienced, confident, driven, and well-connected individual looking for new responsibilities within a dynamic, high-performing Syndicate.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the claims operations function to deliver a leading claims service, in accordance with AEGIS London’s strategy and standards
- Manage the workload and tasks assigned to Claims Operations Assistant
- Work with members of the IT department to identify and implement IT solutions in support of the claims strategy
- Monitor claims performance trends, issues and movements, as well as relevant legal/regulatory changes and Market developments
- Responsible for claims data management, reporting and delivery to the Claims Department
- Preparation and submission of regulatory reporting where required
- Work in conjunction with the Claims Managers, sharing knowledge and skills where appropriate, to ensure the Claims team is working as efficiently as possible
- Lead third party outsourcing vendor oversight meetings
- Undertake, lead on and/or oversee other ad hoc tasks or projects as they arise
Requirements
- Proven experience in dealing with Lloyd’s and London Market systems (e.g. ECF, writeback, Lloyd’s Claims Reporting Suite, Gemini, Voult, Bill Review IQ)
- Strong external network and able to utilise those contacts for the benefit of AEGIS
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and confident when presenting in different environments
- Able to effectively motivate and manage their team whilst identifying, developing and retaining talent
- Excellent attention to detail and able to analyse and leverage data in order to provide meaningful insight
- Confident when dealing with ambiguity, knowing when to shift focus and priorities to ensure a successful outcome
