About the Role
As a backend engineer intern, you will help design, build, and scale platforms. You will write backend code for production systems dealing with high traffic, strict regulatory rules, and large data transformations. You will build new API features, write automated tests, and improve deployment pipelines. You will gain hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, ETL processes, and modern deployment practices. You will collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and architects to deliver features, with senior team members providing technical guidance and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Write backend code to meet story acceptance criteria.
- Build and maintain high-volume APIs and ETL data pipelines.
- Write automated tests and integrate them into deployment pipelines.
- Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and Agile ceremonies.
- Collaborate with product and engineering stakeholders to implement new system features.
Requirements
- Will obtain a Bachelor’s degree or higher from December 2026 or later.
- Familiarity with backend application development and APIs.
- Good communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Good understanding of testing fundamentals.
- Able to work within a team setting and actively participate in team discussions.
