About the Role
Actively shape digital transformation and join our Healthcare & Life Sciences team as a Director Tech Strategy Advice (AI / GenAI). Drive (Gen)AI-enabled growth strategies for Life Sciences and healthcare clients, leveraging advanced analytics and AI to optimize pricing, market access, and commercial effectiveness while improving patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Drive (Gen)AI-enabled growth strategies for Life Sciences and healthcare clients, leveraging advanced analytics and AI to optimize pricing, market access, and commercial effectiveness while improving patient outcomes.
- Develop IT strategies, design and implement end-to-end (Gen)AI solutions tailored to pharma and healthcare use cases (e.g., medical content generation, real-world evidence analysis, HCP engagement), ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as GxP and data privacy requirements.
- Facilitate communication between business and technical stakeholders, bridging strategy and execution and enabling informed decision-making on complex technology and AI topics.
- Guide clients through end-to-end (Gen)AI transformations, including use case prioritization, solution design, vendor/model selection, and implementation oversight.
- Bridge business and technology in complex, regulated environments, aligning stakeholders across R&D, medical, commercial, and IT to successfully deliver AI-driven transformations.
- Develop expertise in focus areas of Growth Technology (Pricing, Sales, and Marketing e.g., CRM and CPQ) as well as the overall technology market allowing us to increase the depth and width of our offering.
- Lead and develop junior tech advisors and data scientists, providing direction on both conceptual problem-solving and hands-on solution development, and ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Identify business development opportunities by recognizing potential clients and proposing new projects ideas, contributing to Simon-Kucher’s growth.
Requirements
- Have an excellent academic degree, e.g., in business, information technology, engineering, data science, or a related field.
- Have at least 5-10 years of consulting or industry experience, with a notable focus on pricing, marketing, or sales software and a track record of delivering (Gen)AI-driven initiatives.
- Have hands-on experience in building and deploying enterprise-grade (Gen)AI solutions, such as LLM-based applications, RAG architectures, AI copilots, or intelligent automation workflows.
- Possess a solid understanding of (Gen)AI technologies and concepts (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, orchestration frameworks) and how to apply them in scalable, production-ready environments.
- Advise on and optimize technology landscapes (e.g., CRM, data platforms, AI architectures) for pharma, biotech, and medtech organizations, enabling scalable, compliant, and data-driven decision-making across the value chain.
- Experienced in designing end-to-end solution architectures and data landscapes, including enabling AI readiness through robust data infrastructure, data quality, and governance frameworks, and integrating (Gen)AI into enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, CPQ, ERP).
- Have a very good understanding of vendor selection and RFP/RFI processes e.g. for (Gen)AI, PO&M, CPQ, CRM, ERP or CLM software.
- Be up to date with technological and software industry-specific trends and developments and keen on expanding knowledge by quickly and independently digging into new (niche) software product.
- Be familiar with the IT landscape and architecture of different organization sizes and complexities and can advise clients on how to reach next-level excellence.
- Bring experience in leading multidisciplinary teams (e.g., consultants, engineers, data scientists) and coaching junior colleagues.
- Proficient in steering strategic projects, overseeing teams, and engaging various stakeholders effectively.
- Communicate fluently in German and English.
- Complement strong analytical skills and eye for detail with a conscientious and dynamic attitude.
