About the Role

The Lot Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of all vehicles for delivery or display, and assisting other departments as needed. This role is crucial for ensuring a high-quality product and customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Report any concerns regarding supplies, equipment, or problem areas to the department manager.
  • Report any hazardous conditions or emergencies to management.
  • Exceed customer expectations regarding vehicle delivery condition.
  • Provide excellent customer service and interact professionally with guests.
  • Start vehicles and check for dead batteries, recharging as needed.
  • Maintain an organized, neat, and clean inventory and showroom vehicles.
  • Wash vehicles after service tasks are completed.
  • Advise the Pre-Owned Manager of any noted problems with used vehicles.
  • Keep the work area free of debris and trash.
  • Keep the delivery area clear of vehicles and debris.
  • Maintain a neat, tidy, and organized workstation, putting away supplies at the end of the day.
  • Shovel, sand, and clear doorways during winter months, and clear snow and ice from vehicles.
  • Transport customers as requested by Sales & Service Managers.
  • Pick up and deliver parts, personnel, and paperwork as required by other dealership departments.
  • Perform tasks as directed by Sales or Service Manager to ensure smooth company operations.
  • Follow company safety policies and practices, and report all accidents immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Valid Ontario driver's license with a clean Drivers Abstract.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other employees.
  • Ability to operate assigned equipment.
  • Ability to make sound decisions consistent with job functions.
  • Attention to detail and high-quality control standards.
  • Ability to work effectively against deadlines.
  • Complete and submit the Internal Endorsement Form (for internal candidates).
