About the Role
Horizon Forest Products is seeking a qualified and dependable individual to join their delivery team. This role involves loading, transporting, and unloading goods to customer locations, ensuring safe and professional customer interactions.
Responsibilities
- Perform a daily pre-trip inspection of the truck, alerting the Ops Manager to maintenance, damage, or mechanical issues.
- Unload the order in accordance with the customers’ needs and the safety protocols of HFP, with hand loading mostly required for job site deliveries.
- Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness, correct charges, and customer satisfaction.
- Safely lift and carry up to 100 pounds repetitively.
- Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules.
- Maintain current driver and forklift certifications and follow all HFP safety protocols.
- Return paperwork, including payments, to the Ops Manager.
- Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
- Maintain logbooks and other documentation as set forth by the DOT and HFP.
- Perform other duties as directed by Ops Manager.
