About the Role
Seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Associate Attorney to join a leading regional defense team specializing in medical malpractice and healthcare provider litigation. This is an exceptional opportunity to develop expertise in a growing practice area while working alongside accomplished partners and legal professionals.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of medical malpractice and healthcare defense matters from inception through resolution.
- Take and defend depositions, appear in court, and participate in all phases of litigation.
- Develop litigation strategy in partnership with experienced attorneys and firm leadership.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other substantive legal filings.
- Build strong relationships with healthcare clients by providing strategic counsel and regular case updates.
- Work on complex and high-profile healthcare litigation, including a significant docket of COVID-related claims and other emerging liability matters.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school
- Must be admitted to practice in NY
- 2+ years of litigation experience; medical malpractice or healthcare litigation experience is a plus
Skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present legal arguments clearly and concisely.
