About the Role

The Data Governance Analyst will support the management, quality, and governance of enterprise data across EMEA, ensuring business-critical data is accurate, consistent, and effectively managed. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking to build expertise in data governance, data quality, business processes, and enterprise data management within a global organization.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and validate data from multiple sources to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and trends.
  • Support the investigation of recurring data issues and help identify practical solutions.
  • Support data cleansing, validation, and ongoing monitoring activities.
  • Produce analysis and reporting to support operational and project requirements.
  • Support the maintenance and governance of enterprise reference and master data.
  • Assist with the implementation and adoption of data governance standards and processes.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of enterprise data management practices across EMEA.
  • Support the management of data-related documentation, controls, and procedures.
  • Build effective relationships with business stakeholders, data stewards, project teams, and technology colleagues.
  • Provide support and guidance to users on data-related processes and governance requirements.
  • Assist with stakeholder training, communications, and adoption activities.
  • Help respond to data-related queries and support requests.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, controls, and business processes.
  • Work with technology and business teams to implement agreed improvements.
  • Support issue resolution and root-cause analysis activities.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations that enhance data management across the organization.
  • Support enterprise data and transformation projects across EMEA.
  • Assist with onboarding new countries, systems, and business processes into data governance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure data requirements are understood and successfully delivered.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Data Analytics, Information Management, Finance, Mathematics, Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in data, analytics, business processes, or technology.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a data, reporting, administration, finance, operations, or analytical role (Desirable).
  • Exposure to data governance, data quality, or master data management activities (Desirable).
  • Experience working within a professional services, corporate, or technology environment (Desirable).
  • Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or other analytical tools (Desirable).
  • Understanding of enterprise systems and business process improvement methodologies (Desirable).
