About the Role
Crystal Palace Football Club is seeking a Kitchen Porter to maintain a clean, tidy, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment, while assisting kitchen and hospitality staff to ensure smooth service operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic cleaning tasks for food preparation areas, equipment, crockery, cutlery, pots, and pans.
- Clean bins and kitchen structures, including walls, skirting, and doors.
- Clean large equipment such as Rational ovens, brat pans, blast chillers, walk-in fridges, and walk-in freezers.
- Maintain organization and control within food store rooms, chemical storage cupboards, and disposable stores.
- Receive, check, and organize goods and deliveries.
- Complete all legally required HACCP, food hygiene, delivery, temperature, and cleaning logs, ensuring daily sign-off by a chef.
- Adhere to all aspects of Fire, Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, Licensing Law, Challenge 21, Trading Standards, COSHH, and other relevant policies.
- Undertake other duties as required by the line manager.
- Uphold and promote the club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding, and Equal Opportunities.

- Experience as a kitchen porter in an organization requiring large-scale catering and various food services.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to complete tasks.
- Proficiency in documenting tasks and recording information in cleaning logs and schedules.
