About the Role
Sun River Health is seeking a full-time Director of WIC to oversee the planning, implementation, and coordination of all activities and services at all WIC sites, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and state policies.
Responsibilities
- Attends meetings, training sessions, and other required WIC activities.
- Collaborates with sponsoring agency and DOH to develop and manage WIC budget, caseload, and annual local agency compliance and self-assessment.
- Develops and manages the local agency policy and procedure manual.
- Works closely with local agency breastfeeding, nutrition, and outreach coordinators to develop, improve, and modify education plans.
- Provides guidance and direct leadership to site supervisors, overseeing all WIC sites and services.
- Ensures compliance with all federal regulations and state policies.
- Prepares and tracks budgets with organizational Finance staff.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of the WIC program at various sites.
- Assures consistency in the implementation of all program components.
- Ensures collaboration with intra-agency staff, healthcare providers, and community-based organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or Public Administration required.
- Master’s Degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or Public Health preferred.
