About the Role

Securitas is seeking multiple security employees for customer sites in Berlin-Mitte and Kreuzberg-Friedrichshain. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety of people and property.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for security-related matters.
• Utilize and demonstrate competence with on-site access control systems.
• Identify and prevent unauthorized access.
• Respond to alarms within the specified timeframe.
• Conduct video surveillance in compliance with local laws and data protection regulations.
• Manage identification cards, including creation, printing, distribution, and inventory checks.
• Handle visitor management.
• Escort vendors.
• Oversee key management.
• Accurately and thoroughly report incidents such as maintenance, health and safety, first aid, emergencies, or other types of incidents.
• Protect assets.
• Provide a consistently high level of customer service.
• Frequently patrol the premises.
• Perform reception duties outside of business hours and upon request during business hours.
• Participate in continuous training and development.
• Enhance site security by recommending innovations and new work methods to site management.
• Represent the customer and Securitas in a manner that upholds the standards, brand, and values of both.

Requirements

• Security knowledge test according to §34a Gewerbeordnung is mandatory.
• Very good German language skills (written and spoken).
• Good English language skills (B2).
• Valid security guard ID is required.
• Willingness to undergo further background screening checks as required by the client.
• Experience in the security industry is preferred.
• Current certificate of good conduct without entries is desirable.
• Experience in customer service with high traffic.
• Very good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently and take initiative.
• High willingness to undergo regular further training to expand knowledge and skills.
• Service-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work with integrity unsupervised.
• Knowledge of access control software.
• Excellent computer skills, especially in MS Office.
• Strong general IT skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
