About the Role

The Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Logistics IPK is developing digital solutions in the context of Industry 4.0 with the vision of a self-organizing production. Our focus is on supporting people in carrying out shop floor activities using context-sensitive assistance systems and on optimizing processes in the production engineering environment by capturing, evaluating, and providing data in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The use of artificial intelligence methods in combination with the corresponding domain know-how plays a central role.

Responsibilities

Contribute to innovative research projects, such as the Fraunhofer flagship project EMOTION.
Software development, particularly the implementation, application, and further development of AI methods to solve industrial problems.
Digital networking of production resources, such as machine tools, robots, 3D printers, etc.
Contribute to the development and construction of virtual and physical demonstrators.
