About the Role

The Taxable Fixed Income Trader and Senior Portfolio Associate will trade and manage investment-grade bond portfolios for high-net-worth and institutional clients, focusing on short- to intermediate-duration strategies. This role requires a strong relative value orientation and the ability to operate independently within a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute trades for short to intermediate duration and cash management mandates
  • Ongoing monitoring of issuers
  • Construct and maintain portfolios aligned with client objectives, risk tolerance, and income needs
  • Independently generate alpha-producing buy/sell ideas through relative value and fundamental credit analysis
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support client portfolios and reporting
  • Participate in select client discussions as needed

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in taxable fixed income
  • 3-5 years of taxable, investment-grade, portfolio management experience
  • Ability to analyze investment-grade credits
  • Experience working with SMA and high-net-worth clients
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound investment judgment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Extensive trading experience in US Treasury and corporate securities using electronic platforms
  • Opportunity for individuals currently trading/managing money market or cash reserve accounts to expand into portfolio management

Salary/Compensations

  • $165,000 to $225,000 base salary
  • Bonus based on individual and firm performance
  • Total compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and overall contribution
