About the Role

You will play a critical role in the Financial Control team, owning core general ledger activities while contributing to management reporting, budgeting, and business partnering across EMEA entities. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will work in a lean, high-trust finance team where your output is visible and your progression is real. This is an opportunity for a qualified accountant to develop fast in a business moving at real pace.

Responsibilities

Own the general ledger
Prepare and post journals including accruals, prepayments, intercompany entries, inventory adjustments, and reclassifications with a full audit trail
Own the month-end close for designated EMEA entities, meeting deadlines with accuracy
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances with urgency
Maintain reconciliations across NetSuite, internal reporting, and group reporting packages
Help prepare monthly management accounts and P&L by department with clear commentary for senior stakeholders
Support variance analysis against budget and prior periods, explaining the story behind the numbers
Contribute to budgets, forecasts, and rolling cash flow analyses for the UK market
Translate financial data into plain language for non-finance experts
Ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS and internal control frameworks
Assist with VAT returns and other regulatory tasks on time
Support the external audit process, including preparation of Financial Statements under FRS102, schedules, reconciliations, and auditor queries
Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
Identify opportunities to automate and streamline financial processes
Partner with teams across the business to gather data and surface insight
Support ad hoc projects and analysis as the company grows

Requirements

Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA)
3+ years in a finance or accounting role with hands-on exposure to both financial and management accounting
Experience supporting or owning month-end close in a professional or commercial environment
Comfortable in an ERP system (NetSuite experience is a bonus; experience with any modern ERP is valuable)
Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and basic modeling
Exposure to multi-entity environments is a plus
