Responsibilities
- Manage HR admin, including new joiner and leaver processes, offer letters, RTW, references, onboarding, HR inductions, work experience requests, SRA compliance, and Practising Certificates.
- Oversee payroll accuracy and audit compliance for all legal teams, liaising with Payroll Manager and FD for sign-off.
- Manage the employee lifecycle, including probation, parental leave, flexible working, absence management, performance management, and benefits renewal.
- Support employee relations by managing difficult performance issues, investigating grievances, handling DSARs, and supporting HRCs in development.
- Contribute to learning and development by reviewing Skill Standards and PDP content, coordinating training, and managing mentoring programs.
- Support trainee recruitment by attending events, offering assistance during assessment stages, and ensuring SRA compliance.
- Manage recruitment processes using Bob Hiring/Apply4Law platforms, provide cover for the Talent Officer role, and support interviews.
- Oversee new joiner and leaver processes, provide weekly updates for legal teams, act as a super user for HR systems, and draft new HR policies.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to HRC, HRA, and any HR temp staff, ensuring task accuracy and assisting with prioritization.
- Lead or contribute to HR projects, such as HR system implementations, organizational changes, or process improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years HR generalist experience.
- Experience in managing disciplinary and grievance procedures/investigations.
- Willingness to continue learning on the job.
- Proactive 'can do' attitude.
- Energetic and personable with a detailed focus.
- Good communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for the role and contribution to the team.
