About the Role

We are looking for a Product Engineer to focus on customer features and platform iteration. You will collaborate with the team to evolve our platform, including mobile app development, internal dashboards, API and MCP services, networking and cloud infrastructure. Your work directly impacts our customers and fellow engineers by improving the platform and building features that make everyone's lives easier. This role is focused on iteration and delivery, using AI as the primary execution mechanism, with your value lying in your judgment for prioritizing features and iterating effectively on the platform. You will balance operational tasks with product velocity, prioritizing developer experience and customer-facing improvements.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the team on platform infrastructure and feature development, helping set timelines and defining scope for new iterations.
Talk to internal customers to understand pain points before specifying solutions.
Write specifications that are clear, complete, and unambiguous for AI to produce correct output.
Direct AI to build, test, and iterate, then review every output against the spec and architectural intent.
Iterate on cloud infrastructure-as-code to support new customer features while maintaining security and efficiency.
Assist with networking and infrastructure troubleshooting, tasks, and improvements on an as-needed basis.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies to ensure a smooth and reliable delivery process.
Set up alerting, observability, and incident response to catch issues before customers do.
Support data infrastructure and pipelines to ensure platform reliability and data availability.
Spot recurring operational burden and decide what to automate vs what needs structural investment.
Verify that shipped features solved the problem, spending more time on bigger or riskier changes, and communicate the results to stakeholders.
Contribute to improving our AI development process by fixing constraints and outputs when AI produces incorrect results.

Requirements

Prioritize customer-facing features and platform iteration, and understand the domain well enough to specify it cleanly.
Treat AI as an execution partner: direct it, review its work, and encode learnings back into the system.
Write specifications and tests that are clear, complete, and unambiguous.
Have a strong background in platform development and leverage cloud and networking skills for infrastructure improvements.
Understand that every infrastructure decision affects the team's ability to ship product work.
Be collaborative and outcomes-oriented, working with the team to hit milestones and flag risks early.
Thrive in a collaborative environment where decisions are shared and the focus is on the best path forward for the product.
Measure success by uptime, reliability, and ease of use for the team, not just code volume.
Know when to push through independently and when to bring in deeper expertise.
Care about clean, maintainable, well-documented work, even when moving fast.
Communicate clearly, challenge assumptions confidently, and ask great questions.
