About the Role

The Technical Omnibus department designs and manages the technical vehicle strategy for the omnibus division, from procurement to operational readiness. It ensures high vehicle availability and optimal use of all personnel, material, and infrastructure resources through efficient maintenance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Omnibus division management in strategic, technical, and conceptual matters and contribute to the further development of the division.
  • Develop concepts, prepare decision-making bases, and accompany strategic measures from planning to implementation and success monitoring.
  • Prepare decision proposals, statements, project and status reports, and documents for internal and external committees.
  • Manage cross-departmental projects and change processes and coordinate collaboration with relevant interfaces.
  • Analyze and optimize business processes and economic contexts, and derive recommendations for action.
  • Advise specialist departments on strategic issues and support with submissions for the executive board and other ad-hoc topics.
  • Ensure goal-oriented reporting and monitor the implementation of strategically relevant measures.

Requirements

  • Completed scientific studies (Master's or Diploma University) in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration, or equivalent skills and knowledge based on many years of professional experience.
  • Interest in relevant topics such as the operational processes of Berlin bus transport and sustainable mobility for Berlin.
  • Preferably possess industry-specific knowledge and understand the specific role of a public company as well as the corporate strategy and goals of BVG.
  • Very good German language skills (at least C1), English skills are an advantage.
  • Impeccable communication at all hierarchical levels.
  • High degree of loyalty, discretion, and responsibility.
  • Strategic thinking, goal orientation, and the ability to quickly grasp, structure, and prepare complex issues.
  • Persuasiveness, assertiveness, negotiation skills, and high commitment to implementing strategic initiatives.
  • Structured, independent, and results-oriented way of working, as well as strong teamwork skills.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, especially PowerPoint.
