About the Role
dmg media is seeking a YouTube Growth Lead to develop and execute YouTube strategy for new and existing channel launches, focusing on social-first publishing and building global brands.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end strategy for new YouTube channel launches from ideation and positioning to format development, scheduling, and audience growth.
- Support strategy, optimisation, and long-term planning for existing YouTube channels, working in partnership with our in-house editorial and production teams.
- Incubate repeatable content formats and scalable franchises designed for engagement and retention.
- Use analytics, insights and platform intelligence to inform programming, commissioning, and optimisation strategies.
- Partner with creative, social, editorial and commercial teams to ensure all output is brand-aligned and revenue-optimised.
- Identify and develop opportunities for creator/talent-led YouTube projects and partnerships.
- Develop sponsorship-ready formats, branded content opportunities, and strategies for audience and revenue growth.
- Ensure YouTube activity dovetails with our social-first strategy, leveraging the power of our broader network.
Requirements
- Significant track record running or launching YouTube channels at scale.
- Deep understanding of YouTube formats, audience development, algorithms, and monetisation.
- Proven ability to launch and grow repeatable video franchises.
- Publisher, digital media, or creator-led business experience essential.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience with brand partnerships.
- A strategic thinker and creative builder with genuine insight into YouTube’s present and future.
- Proven expertise in YouTube audience development and channel launches.
- Both creative and operational, with strong collaborative skills.
- Able to drive new brand launches but also support and evolve established channels.
