About the Role
Pine Woods Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Fear Free certified team. This role is crucial in delivering exceptional patient care by taking technician appointments, assisting with surgery, coordinating and executing treatment plans, and providing thorough client education.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.
- Ensure efficient exam room workflow and outstanding client communication.
- Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity.
- Collaborate with the team to support veterinarian’s orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
- Take technician appointments.
- Assist with surgery.
- Coordinate and execute treatment plans.
- Provide thorough client education.
Requirements
- 2+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of New York
