About the Role
SkyCell is seeking a Product Designer to define the cross-application UX direction for their commercial software, ensuring a unified and world-class experience across all modules. This role involves hands-on discovery, user research, prototyping, and leading specialized designers towards a common vision.
Responsibilities
- Own discovery end-to-end, including user research, journey mapping, and translating user insights into UX decisions.
- Create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes using Figma and/or code to explore and test concepts.
- Run evaluative tests with users and engineers.
- Define the cross-application UX vision, design principles, and success metrics in collaboration with Product and Marketing.
- Align framework and embedded designers towards a unified design across all modules and applications.
- Advocate UX principles and investments to senior leadership, demonstrating ROI.
- Maintain the UX roadmap and prioritize pattern and design investments with the framework team.
- Produce high-level experience flows and service blueprints connecting journeys across applications.
- Review Design System and module deliverables for alignment with experience strategy and brand.
- Support embedded designers from discovery to delivery, ensuring journey continuity.
- Set KPIs and use analytics, user research, A/B tests, and competitive analysis to inform design decisions.
- Champion a user-centered, inclusive, and accessible design culture (e.g., WCAG).
- Collaborate with Marketing on tone, terminology, and brand consistency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a senior/lead product designer for complex B2B software, ideally in supply chain, logistics, aviation/air cargo, or pharma.
- Exceptional discovery track record, from user needs research and prototyping to finalizing UX.
- Hands-on mastery of Figma, comfortable producing mockups and prototypes at speed.
- Experience aligning multiple designers towards a coherent experience across products or modules.
- Strong executive communication skills, able to present UX strategy and priorities to leadership.
- Working knowledge of design systems and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
- Experience partnering with design system teams is a plus.
- Experience designing for multiple distinct user groups is a plus.
- Must be located in, or able to relocate (without sponsorship) to one of the advertised locations.
