About the Role
Plum is seeking a Lead Product Manager to own the Cash Products domain, encompassing Tax Wrappers and Savings. This senior individual contributor role involves developing innovative solutions, setting high standards for product craft, and delivering impactful results.
Responsibilities
- Own the Cash Products domain, including strategy, roadmap, and execution across two squads.
- Build and defend prioritization frameworks based on company goals, commercial logic, and user motivation.
- Collaborate with design on all aspects, including content, IA, and interaction, to enhance quality.
- Partner with engineering on scoping, sizing, and making trade-offs to preserve outcomes.
- Coordinate launches across marketing, compliance, CX, and ops, managing the go-to-market strategy.
- Set the standard for product management practices within Cash Products, from discovery to success measurement.
- Navigate regulations and ISA/HMRC rules with Compliance and Risk.
- Partner with Finance and Commercial to define competitive rate structures and business logic.
- Identify and implement improvements to squad workflows and processes.
- Coach and support squad PMs, fostering their growth and raising quality standards.
- Create synergies between Tax Wrappers and Savings at the group level, aligning roadmaps and avoiding duplication.
- Drive features that help users build better financial habits, such as automated deposits and goal-based recommendations.
Requirements
- 7+ years in product management, with significant experience in financial services or another regulated, trust-sensitive industry.
- Strong research and synthesis skills to translate qualitative and quantitative data into clear strategies.
- Deep commercial acumen, including understanding of rate setting, distribution economics, and competitive positioning.
- Fluent in ISA and savings mechanics, including AER vs. gross rate distinctions and commercial logic.
- Hands-on approach, willing to draft briefs, participate in design critiques, and write launch communications.
- Proficiency in building financial cases for features and stress-testing assumptions.
- Experimental mindset, defaulting to hypothesis-driven approaches and iterative development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of distilling complexity for diverse audiences.
- Process-oriented approach to identifying and fixing broken or inefficient workflows.
- Ability to operate at a group level, managing both the big picture and squad-level details.
