About the Role
As a RevOps Manager, you will systematically expand our proprietary deal flow in the DACH software and tech mid-market. Your goal is to identify and reach attractive companies and their shareholders early, ideally before an M&A advisor is mandated or a broad sales process is initiated. You will connect Deal Origination and Revenue Operations, developing market maps and outbound campaigns, qualifying potential investments, and creating the data, tool, and reporting infrastructure for a scalable sourcing process. You will work closely with FLEX Partners and the Investment Team, taking ownership from day one for building a central function at FLEX.
Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the continuous filling of our proprietary origination funnel for software and technology companies in the DACH mid-market.
- You create systematic market maps and target longlists, research relevant sub-segments, and enrich companies with firmographics, financial key figures, and information on shareholder and succession situations.
- You screen and prioritize potential targets based on our investment criteria and develop a focused pipeline from them.
- You conceptualize and manage multi-channel outbound campaigns together with the Investment Team via phone, email, LinkedIn, mail, and personal approach – with discreet, business-appropriate communication at eye level.
- You identify relevant trade fairs, conferences, and associations, coordinate our event plan, prepare appointments, and ensure consistent follow-up.
- You further develop proprietary origination formats such as webinars, roundtables, or entrepreneur evenings together with Marketing and the Investment Team.
- You take ownership of our sourcing stack and ensure high CRM data quality, clean activity logging, duplicate management, and efficient enrichment and automation workflows.
- You develop dashboards and automated reports that create transparency about the funnel, activities, and conversions and serve as the basis for our weekly sourcing and pipeline reviews.
- You test new prospecting and sourcing tools, optimize outreach and sequences through A/B tests, and continuously develop playbooks and our messaging library.
Requirements
- You ideally have 1-3 years of experience in an outbound-driven role and can demonstrate that you have not only managed activities but also achieved measurable results – for example, as an SDR/BDR in the B2B SaaS environment, in Sales or Revenue Operations, Deal Sourcing, an M&A boutique, or consultancy.
- You know how successful multi-touch outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn works and have already worked independently with a CRM and outbound stack.
- You can research and prepare data in a structured manner, create market maps and longlists, and work confidently with CRM, enrichment, sequencing, and automation tools.
- You have a strong understanding of numbers and can quickly classify revenue, growth, and profitability figures.
- You quickly grasp software and tech business models.
- Your working style is crucial: You have a pronounced hunter mentality, remain focused even with long cycles and high rejection rates, and take responsibility for results.
- At the same time, you work in a structured and data-oriented manner, build processes independently, and continuously improve them.
