About the Role

The BVG is driving the future of mobility and electrifying its entire bus fleet. This requires highly complex energy technology infrastructures and powerful charging facilities at many locations. Get involved in shaping the energy supply for the e-bus fleet in Berlin.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure electrical systems can be operated at all times.
  • Become familiar with all components of medium, low, direct voltage, and control technology.
  • Review the maintainability of new charging technology during the planning phase.
  • Ensure reliable operation through commissioning and functional tests.
  • Secure the system inventory through efficient spare parts management and regular inspection and maintenance work.
  • Develop quick solutions for malfunctions in collaboration with colleagues from charging technology, IT, vehicle technology, and manufacturers.
  • Analyze operating data and actively participate in the development of AI-supported, predictive maintenance.
  • Track, evaluate, and implement new technologies to make existing charging technology more sustainable, reliable, and economical.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in electrical or energy engineering, industrial engineering with a focus on electrical engineering, or equivalent skills and knowledge based on many years of professional experience.
  • Fluent German language skills (at least C1 level).
  • Developed a structured and cooperative way of working through initial professional experience or volunteer work.
  • Fitness examination according to BOStrab will be part of the hiring process.

Skills

  • Valuable and technically understandable communication with colleagues from all company areas and external partners.
  • Good understanding of processes.
  • Interest in quickly familiarizing yourself with relevant laws, standards, and technical regulations (e.g., DIN standards, VDE guidelines).

Salary/Compensations

  • €4,592.37 - €5,106.13 (Entgeltgruppe 11 TV-N Berlin)
