About the Role

Design, build, and maintain advanced Power BI reports and dashboards, write advanced DAX measures and calculations, shape robust data models, write and optimize SQL queries, and administer database and ETL platforms. Partner directly with clients to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and present solutions. Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain advanced Power BI reports and dashboards.
Write advanced DAX measures and calculations, including time intelligence and calculated tables.
Shape robust, well-structured data models using star schema principles.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries and build/maintain reporting views.
Perform database and ETL platform administration, including workflow configuration, performance optimization, and customer database deployment.
Partner directly with clients to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and present solutions.
Apply problem-solving skills to complex data challenges.
Collaborate with the team and wider business to share knowledge.
Identify opportunities to use AI tools for improved efficiency in Power BI, SQL, and daily tasks.

Requirements

5+ years’ experience developing advanced Power BI reporting solutions.
Advanced DAX skills with experience in optimization.
Strong data modeling experience with a solid grasp of star schema design and best practice.
Advanced SQL skills, including writing and optimizing complex queries, developing views, and database administration.
Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders to gather requirements and present solutions.
Sharp problem-solving instincts and creativity.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to thrive as part of a small, distributed team.
Experience with third-party Power BI tools such as Tabular Editor and DAX Studio (Nice to have).
Genuine interest in using AI tools (Nice to have).
Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) or similar certification (Nice to have).
