Responsibilities
- Monitor portfolio performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommend strategies to improve recoveries and customer outcomes.
- Use analytics and business insights to optimize collections strategies across the customer lifecycle.
- Develop reporting, dashboards, forecasts, and business cases to support operational and executive decision-making.
- Lead initiatives that modernize collections through automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and process optimization.
- Partner with Credit Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology, Finance, and Operations teams to deliver strategic initiatives.
- Evaluate and implement innovative collections tools, technologies, and digital solutions.
- Support governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management practices across collections operations.
- Manage relationships with third-party collections partners and support vendor performance and strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in collections, credit risk, portfolio management, financial services, or customer operations, including leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of collections strategies, consumer lending products, and regulatory requirements within a regulated environment.
- Proven ability to use analytics and data-driven insights to improve business performance and customer outcomes.
- Experience leading transformation, process improvement, automation, or digital initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and analytics tools such as SQL, SAS, Alteryx, Databricks, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Experience in banking, financial services, telecommunications, or managing third-party collections agencies is considered an asset.
- A pre-employment background check will be conducted.
