About the Role

The Field Sales Manager will provide dedicated in-field support to the dealer network, focusing on P&L, sales, and after-sales growth advisory to enhance dealer and company performance. This role is crucial for driving new motorcycle unit sales, supported by Parts & Accessories, General Merchandise, and Certified Pre-Owned business, to meet retail targets, grow the rider base, and increase customer lifetime value.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and gain buy-in for strategic market plans with dealers, including sales targets for motorcycles, Parts & Accessories, and General Merchandise.
  • Understand and apply leading practices to improve dealer performance metrics in sales and aftersales activities.
  • Own the accuracy of monthly vehicle, Parts & Accessories, and General Merchandise forecasts and conduct performance reviews with dealers.
  • Solve dealer problems by leveraging personal experience or identifying internal support resources.
  • Analyze and review performance metrics regularly and collaborate with dealers on necessary adjustments.
  • Develop training plans for dealers in the defined market and request support for training.
  • Enable a feedback loop between dealers and Field Leadership to resolve issues.
  • Provide constructive feedback and influence dealer performance.
  • Act as a product expert for Harley-Davidson products and coordinate with stakeholders on product line performance.
  • Manage and drive dealer lead management processes, tracking performance through the sales funnel and implementing corrective actions.
  • Drive and hold dealers accountable for store visit targets and support local activation initiatives to generate foot traffic.
  • Conduct structured dealer assessments to evaluate market engagement, management quality, operational execution, and growth orientation.
  • Tailor support based on assessment outputs and inform field leadership on network health.

Requirements

  • Requires a solid understanding of financial measures, forecasting, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate deep understanding of key financial drivers of a dealer's business.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed aggressive sales and after-sales/service performance targets.
  • Develop creative solutions to generate results.
  • Retail and service expertise are essential.
  • Negotiation and influencing skills are essential.
  • Ability to communicate effectively is essential.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
