About the Role
As the operational owner of Tech Data’s end user demand generation engine, you will generate qualified sales opportunities directly with end user customers on behalf of the AWS partner community. You will collaborate with the lead generation agency to create market pipeline and hand opportunities to partners to close.
Responsibilities
- Work with the AWS Business Unit Manager to align demand generation activity to partner capacity, sector priorities, and AWS go-to-market themes.
- Define and maintain qualification standards for leads generated through the engine, ensuring quality before handoff to partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the lead generation agency, owning the day-to-day relationship and ensuring clear communication across all campaigns.
- Brief the agency on campaign requirements including target sector, partner profile, ideal customer profile, qualification criteria, messaging framework, and volume expectations.
- Assess partner readiness for entry into the demand engine, evaluating AWS Practice Lead availability, APN Customer Engagements Program (ACE) capability, delivery capacity, and commercial responsiveness before onboarding.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in B2B demand generation, inside sales management, or channel program management within the technology sector.
- Demonstrated experience managing an external agency or vendor relationships.
- Experience managing a pipeline of opportunities across a partner or customer portfolio.
- Strong understanding of the B2B technology channel and how reseller or partner businesses operate commercially.
- Confidence and presence to hold partners and agencies accountable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient with CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot / Salesforce).
- Experience working with or within the AWS partner ecosystem is highly regarded.
- Familiarity with AWS programs would be an advantage.
- Experience working within the IT distribution or vendor channel with responsibility for partner enablement, pipeline management, or partner marketing.
- Understanding of cloud migration, managed services, or GenAI solution selling in the ANZ market.
- Experience in a role where you have held third parties (agencies, partners, or vendors) accountable to commercial agreements.
