About the Role
As our AI Alchemist, you will be the primary force multiplier for our CEO and the founding team. This role is for an operator who is fundamentally a builder, taking critical priorities from idea to execution at lightning speed by building with AI. It's a high-visibility, high-impact role for a hacker-operator wanting to see how a venture-backed AI startup operates internally, acting as a surrogate for the CEO in technical and strategic initiatives, leading engineering projects, building new AI agents, and pushing the boundaries of LLMs.
Responsibilities
- Rapidly prototype and incubate new ideas, owning the zero-to-one phase of new agentic workflows, detection models, or internal tools.
- Drive executive meetings, board preparations, and investor pitches with working code and prototypes.
- Identify and solve operational challenges using AI, building and deploying internal agents and scripts to increase team efficiency.
- Ensure alignment between Product, Engineering, and GTM teams, translating technical breakthroughs into shipped features.
- Stay current with AI trends and rapidly test integration possibilities into the Aegis platform.
Requirements
- Comfortable working with Python, LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source), frameworks like LangChain/LlamaIndex, and modern deployment stacks (Vercel, Next.js).
- Proven ability to act as a fixer, creating playbooks and automating processes.
- Ability to pitch to investors, run strategy meetings, and debug autonomous agents.
- Experience in fast-paced, founder-led environments.
- Ability to write scalable code and create quick solutions to prove points.
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineers on architecture and with business stakeholders on strategy.
