About the Role

Kraken is seeking a leader to serve as the primary point of contact and delivery lead for a major North American utility transformation. This high-profile role involves managing a dedicated internal team and collaborating with a large product and engineering organization to deliver world-changing results in the energy sector.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the successful execution of client implementation programs using the Build-Operate-Transfer methodology, covering technology, business operations, and culture transformation.
  • Find solutions that integrate clients into the new software and operating model, accelerating delivery and reducing risk.
  • Develop deep trust with C-suite client executives.
  • Lead a team of Client Delivery Leads across functional delivery areas.
  • Prioritize outcomes and delivery from a team of Client Engineers, collaborating with the VP of product for Vertically Integrated Utilities.
  • Communicate effectively to stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Continuously demonstrate Kraken’s business value to the client and build a sustainable governance model.
  • Set the direction and pace for implementation program execution, managing expectations, removing blockers, and making prioritization decisions.
  • Understand implementation program details and report progress to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Embody Kraken’s ways of working, providing support and feedback to team members and reinforcing an environment of psychological safety.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Regulated Utilities, ideally in the North American market.
  • Strong experience leading large, enterprise-level technology implementations and significant transformation of business operations, ideally in utilities or similar industries.
  • Proven experience with C-suite clients, leading strategic conversations, negotiating win-wins, and advising on business transformation.
  • Hands-on leadership of global implementation teams consisting of experts in implementation, product, data, engineering, change management, and enablement.
  • Ability to focus conversations on critical matters.
  • Ability to understand client success criteria and focus on enabling clients to achieve them.
  • Team player capable of working effectively with national and global teams.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Client and quality focus; effective at building and improving customer relationships.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for face-to-face relationship building.
