About the Role
We are seeking dedicated security guards for property protection to join our team at the Robert Koch Institute. This role involves working in a 24/7 shift system with 12-hour shifts, managing visitor reception, controlling access, conducting patrols, and monitoring alarm systems.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 24/7 shift system with 12-hour shifts (day & night)
- Receive and escort visitors
- Check IDs and act as a point of contact for RKI employees
- Issue and collect access media
- Conduct regular control and patrol rounds in indoor and outdoor areas
- Monitor alarm and fault notification systems
- Control parking areas and enforce parking regulations
- Perform baggage checks using X-ray technology after appropriate training (with hourly bonus), if required
Requirements
- Security check according to §34a GewO
- Impeccable police clearance certificate
- Willingness to work shifts
- Sense of responsibility and assertiveness
- Neat appearance
- Willingness to work at different RKI locations
- A consistently friendly, service-oriented demeanor is always desired
