About the Role

This CAD Designer role requires experience in creating intermediate to advanced difficulty jewelry pieces using Rhino software. The position involves executing designs while adhering to functional and aesthetic objectives, contributing to the creation of timeless, yet contemporary collections.

Responsibilities

• Create intermediate jewelry pieces from start to finish with limited supervision.
• Understand team processes and aesthetics fluently.
• Create complex projects and forms with less-detailed direction and limited supervision.
• Create stone settings and ensure file setup for mechanisms like clasps and linkages with guidance.
• Provide input on project timelines and translate design concepts into physical pieces within timeframes.
• Offer suggestions on CAD workflow techniques.
• Review vendor CAD files for visual viability and provide aesthetic feedback.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of CAD experience specific to jewelry.
• Knowledge of complex jewelry construction.
• Knowledge of precious and non-precious metal properties.
• Proficient in creating solid, workable polysurface files.
• Experienced with modifying and repairing mesh objects.
• Working knowledge of mechanisms such as hinges and clasps.
• Ability to read and interpret design renderings and engineering documents.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
