About the Role

The Retail Service Technician is primarily involved in ski/snowboard equipment repair and maintenance using sophisticated mounting and tuning equipment. The Shop at Windham Mountain Club is a multi-seasonal specialty retailer that carries a vast selection of equipment, clothing, and accessories for a variety of outdoor activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of servicing ski/snowboard equipment including mounting & adjustments, tuning, and boot fitting.
• Proactively address all customer needs and questions.
• Maintain all shop equipment and tools.
• Operate POS system.
• Operate ski/snowboard service tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Adhere to all safety precautions, including use of proper personal protection equipment.
• Maintain knowledge of the ski area, programs, events, daily snow conditions and any other information that aids in communication with guests.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Hands-on experience mounting and tuning equipment.
• Intermediate knowledge of ski and snowboard construction.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be comfortable interacting with both staff and guests in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Must be able to handle a stressful, noisy, and crowded situation.
• Must be able to use basic computer systems and POS software.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours.
• Ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, including snow and ice covered surfaces.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach regularly.
• Must be able to get to and from work in all weather conditions.
