About the Role
ARA Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a MSK Radiologist to join our highly collaborative and growing MSK section in Austin, Texas. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal imaging while working alongside experienced subspecialists and building strong relationships with orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, rheumatologists, and referring providers throughout Central Texas. This position offers an engaging case mix with approximately 80% Musculoskeletal Radiology and 20% General Radiology, providing the opportunity to maintain subspecialty focus while remaining clinically diverse. The MSK section is integrated into the general call pool, making comfort with general diagnostic radiology important.
Responsibilities
- Interpret a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies.
- Serve as an integral member of a highly collaborative MSK section.
- Focus primarily on MSK imaging, with opportunities for general radiology responsibilities and participation in the general call pool.
- Perform full spectrum of Musculoskeletal Radiology.
- Interpret Musculoskeletal MRI and CT.
- Perform Musculoskeletal ultrasound.
- Interpret sports medicine and orthopedic imaging.
- Interpret Musculoskeletal radiographs.
- Interpret Body CT and ultrasound.
- Perform light general radiology procedures, including thoracentesis, paracentesis, and lumbar puncture.
- Interpret light head and spine CT.
- Perform general diagnostic radiology interpretation.
- Participate in the general call pool.
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine specialists, rheumatologists, and referring physicians.
- Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and educational opportunities.
- Deliver timely, accurate, and high-quality interpretations that support exceptional patient care.
- Participate in teaching, mentorship, and academic collaboration through ARA's relationship with Dell Medical School.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Fellowship-trained in MSK.
- Comfortable with the full spectrum of MSK imaging.
- Comfortable interpreting general diagnostic radiology studies.
- Eligible for Texas medical licensure.
- Current fellows and residents are encouraged to apply.
Skills
- MSK ultrasound experience welcomed.
- Experience with MSK ultrasound preferred.
- Interest or experience in light general radiology procedures preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative communication skills.
- Team-oriented with a commitment to clinical excellence.
