About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our Weybridge team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about working with children and eager to begin or grow their career in early years education. Responsibilities
- Support the nursery team in providing safe, nurturing, and engaging childcare.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Supervise children during play and ensure their safety at all times.
- Encourage children's language development and self-expression.
- Support lead practitioners in maintaining a clean, organised, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Assist with record-keeping and progress reporting.
- Take part in training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
- Not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization.
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery, school, or childcare setting (desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Creativity and enthusiasm when engaging with children.
- A valid driving licence (preferred, for occasional outings).
- A positive, caring, and proactive attitude.
